Networks already thread through the environment we live in many forms.. utilities such as Electricity, Gas and Telephony reach into every home, workplace, school and serve our day to day needs for heat light and power, communication, community and government.

LInking these locations on the ground, a road system that we walk, cycle and drive over, carrying with us the materials we use, the tools, foods and the merchandise.

TV, FM radio, mobile telecom systems are co-ordinated and distributed over a international network of copper, fibre optic, and microwave installations, that grow increasingly ubiquitous, pervasive and prescriptive.

Our ability to utilise and benefit from these resources comes at the expense of our time, cash and dependancy. When we examine the relationships between provision and implimentation we might well question these models and seek solutions to our local requirements that ooriginate within community and seek to serve the local over global.

Lets build on local networks, identify local resources and optimise our use of them to serve community, regenerate identity and celebrate autonomy..
