BNDG research into community area network development and broadband internet access is now complete. Please download a copy to review or read the report

The group objective is to identify existing broadband network resourses, how these are currently introduced, arranged and managed to then inform further research and articulate a vocabulary to enrich applications for future financial support and commonwealth development.

The BNDG Broardband Network Delivery Group was formed during the Autumn of 2001 and comprises a dozen representatives from Lewisham/Greenwich Edu and Arts establishments, council and local develpment agencies with Consultation from Anthony Lillie and James Stevens of SPC.org.

The key componant of the research required the construction of a pilot wireless broadband network interlinking four 'node' locations. The pilot participants were selected on their willingness to participate, proximity to one another and extent of existing public facilities or technical experience to assist.

The information collected during the research and results of the network pilot will form the basis of a public report document.
